Riding Lessons, Pony Parties & Other Horseplay

  Riding Lessons
Lessons are tailored to meet the needs of beginning riders. Riders from the ages of 7 to 107 learn to both ride & groom, become familiar with the names & locations of various parts of the equine body, and how to understand horse behavior. Our quiet, gentle horses are real confidence builders. Private lessons are available at $25 per half-hour and $35 for a full hour.  Gift certificates for both Lessons and Parties are available.
  Birthday Parties
Let us provide the venue for your next party! Sack races, bobbing for apples, games, and of course pony rides! We set up and clean up for a stress-free event! Rates start at 1.5 hours for $250.00. SUGGESTION: Create a horse theme party with cowboy hats and a craft to double the fun.

The afternoon is spent trail riding and playing games on horseback. Our day ends at 4:00pm. Space is limited to 4 campers age 8-13 during each session.   Healing Through Horses
Horses and humans have had a long history of bonding and partnership. The horse also provides healing for those with physical and mental concerns. Equine Assisted Therapy opens new pathways of physical, mental and emotional rehabilitation. Horses are used as tools for emotional growth and learning in humans. The focus of Equine Assisted Therapy is not riding or horsemanship. All activities take place on the ground. No horse experience is necessary. It is experiential in nature where participants learn about themselves and others by engaging in activities with horses and then processing the feelings, behaviors, and response patterns that emerge. Benefits of Equine Therapy include: Respect for self and others, Improved communication and social skills, Boundary setting, Empathy towards others, Self control and confidence, Responsibility and accountability, Problem solving and cooperation, Honesty and trust, and Overcoming challenges in a non-threatening atmosphere!
